Frisco weddings split into two beautiful, very different days. There is the polished in-town wedding: Verona Villa’s Tuscan architecture on the Dallas Parkway, hotel ballrooms around The Star, manicured everything. And there is the other Frisco wedding, the one that drives fifteen minutes west and gets married on an estate lawn as the sun drops behind Lewisville Lake. I photograph both, and the preparation for each is completely different.

In-town venues are about controlling mixed lighting: ballroom chandeliers, LED uplights, and glass. Estate venues are about chasing one perfect window of natural light. Knowing which game we are playing before the day starts is most of the battle.

Where Frisco couples get married

Verona Villa on the Dallas Parkway is Frisco’s signature venue, with Tuscan-inspired architecture that photographs like a destination wedding without the flight. The Grove at Frisco Commons and the hotels around The Star cover the modern end, and the Omni PGA Frisco Resort has quickly become a favorite for big celebration weekends.

Then there is the short drive west. Knotting Hill Place in Little Elm, about 15 minutes from central Frisco, is a 17,000 square foot estate with a cathedral room and 55 foot ceilings. The Olana in Hickory Creek brings European manor architecture, and The Hillside Estate in Cross Roads is about 20 minutes out with panoramic sunset views. I keep working photographer guides on all of these in my DFW venue guide hub.

Planning a Frisco wedding day

My timelines all start from the same anchor: ceremony start roughly 75 minutes before sunset for outdoor vows, or a deliberate portrait window at that hour for indoor ceremonies. The venue hub has a month by month North Texas sunset table so you can check your date instantly. Engagement sessions around Frisco are easy to love, and my engagement session prep guide helps you get the most from one.

Booking-wise, Frisco Saturdays move fast. Most of my couples reserve 9 to 12 months ahead; here is my full advice on how far in advance to book your photographer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Frisco, TX?

Most full-service DFW wedding photographers charge between about $2,500 and $5,000, and Frisco skews toward the top of that range. My collections start at $5,200 for 8 hours with one photographer and are published in full on my pricing page, so you can compare before you ever reach out.

Do you photograph at Verona Villa?

Yes, Verona Villa is one of Frisco’s most photogenic venues and its Tuscan courtyards are built for golden hour portraits. I plan the timeline so we use them at the right moment of the evening.

We are getting married just outside Frisco. Is that a problem?

Not at all, it is usually an upgrade for photos. Knotting Hill Place, The Olana, and The Hillside Estate are all within about 20 minutes of Frisco, and I keep detailed photographer guides for each in my DFW venue guide hub.

When will we receive our photos?

Wedding galleries are delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Engagement and bridal sessions arrive within 2 to 3 weeks, delivered in a full-resolution online gallery with unlimited downloads.
