FAQ
Frequently Asked
Everything couples usually want to know before reaching out. Don’t see your question? The contact page is always open.
How much does Jose Hiram Photography cost?
Wedding collections start at $5,200 for 8 hours with one photographer, and custom collections start at $15,000 by request. Every collection and add-on is on the pricing page.
Do you photograph weddings in Dallas and Fort Worth?
Yes. Most of my weddings are in Dallas, then Fort Worth, and I photograph across all of greater DFW, from the hotels and ballrooms downtown to the estate venues an hour out.
How far ahead should we book?
For a peak fall or spring Saturday in DFW, book 10 to 12 months out; off-peak dates and Fridays or Sundays usually need 6 to 8 months. The month-by-month version is in my booking guide.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
Most weddings land between eight and ten hours, enough to cover getting ready through the first dances and your send-off. We’ll map coverage to your timeline together so nothing important gets cut.
Is there a travel fee in DFW?
No. There is no travel fee anywhere in greater DFW, from Dallas and Fort Worth up through the Denton and Collin County venues. Destination and long-distance weddings are quoted per event.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll get a sneak-peek gallery within one to two weeks, and your full edited gallery in eight to twelve weeks.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. They’re the best way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding, and they give us images for save-the-dates. Many packages include one.
Do you bring a second shooter?
A second shooter adds angles and coverage: both of you getting ready in different places, wider ceremony moments, more candids at the reception. It can be added to any package. It’s included on select wedding packages and available as an add-on for the rest.
Do you photograph video too?
I offer photography, videography and content creation. If you want your day captured in motion as well as stills, ask about combining them.
How do we book?
Reach out through the contact page, we’ll get on a quick call to make sure we’re a fit, and a signed agreement plus a retainer holds your date.
What’s the payment schedule?
A retainer reserves your date, with the remaining balance due before the wedding. Payment plans are available; just ask. The retainer is 25% of your total package.
What if it rains or plans change?
We roll with it; some of the most beautiful photos happen under umbrellas or in a last-minute indoor setup. There’s always a backup plan.
How many photos will we get?
You’ll receive a full gallery of finished, hand-edited images, usually 600 to 900 from a full day; you won’t be short on photos.
