About

Hi, I’m Jose

350+ weddings. Based in Denton, fluent in Spanish, and allergic to posing you.

I shoot primarily with natural light and a mix of flash for editorial work, because the best light tells the truth. Whether it's golden hour wrapped around an outdoor ceremony or a moody indoor moment, I use the environment intentionally to elevate every frame. Every session is built around you: your energy, your dynamic, your details. My approach is about more than just taking pictures. It's about drawing out the relaxed, confident, alive version of you that your partner fell in love with, and making sure that version lives in your images forever.

I shot my first wedding in November 2019, second shooting at the White Sparrow Barn. I didn’t know it then, but that was the day this whole thing started.

My career has taken me inside some of the most beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable moments a person can witness, and I still haven’t gotten used to it. Every couple I photograph carries a story that deserves more than just documentation. It deserves intention, artistry, and a photographer who actually cares about getting it right.

My approach is editorial at its core; I think about light, composition, and feeling the way a fashion director thinks about a cover shoot. But I never let the craft get in the way of the moment. The best images happen when you forget I’m there.

I’m a visual obsessive who finds beauty in the details most people walk past. That curiosity shapes everything I shoot, the way late afternoon light hits a veil, the quiet glance between two people who think no one is watching, the chaos of a dance floor that somehow looks like art in a still frame.

If you’re looking for a photographer who will show up fully invested in your day and deliver photos that look exactly like the day did, then let’s talk.

My style & approach

My style is a blend of authenticity, beauty, and storytelling.

Every couple I photograph is different; different energy, different chemistry, different love language. My job is to pay attention to all of it and translate it into images that actually look like you, not a posed version of you.

I’m not the photographer who lines you up and tells you where to put your hands. I’d rather spend the first few minutes just talking, laughing, getting comfortable, because the best shots never come from a pose. They come from a moment you didn’t even notice I was capturing.

My goal is simple: make you forget you’re being photographed, then make images you’ll never forget.

I shoot primarily with natural light and a mix of flash for editorial work; not because it’s trendy, but because it’s honest. The way golden hour wraps around a couple, the way soft window light catches a quiet moment; that’s the kind of beauty that doesn’t need to be manufactured. And when the moment calls for something bolder, flash lets me sculpt light in a way that feels cinematic and intentional.

Every location I choose is intentional. The surroundings aren’t just a backdrop, they’re part of the story. And every session is built around you: your energy, your dynamic, your details, so the final images feel less like photographs and more like a portrait of who you actually are together.
